There are a whole lot of exciting sound and creative events going on this month.  The most exciting is that I'm planning to return to India again next year and am beginning to raise funds for Families For Children, an orphange for handicapped children in India.  I hope you can come out to support FFC on June 12th at this wonderful musical event that will showcase a host of talented performers!  See further details below.

Sunday, June 12th An Afternoon Musical Soiree: An FFC Indian Fundraiser

Join me and a host of amazing talent for a wonderful afternoon of music, poetry and interactive sound experiences to help raise funds for Families for Children in Podanur, India!   The Players: Gary Diggins, Lisa Hartt-Spillane, Kathleen Gillis, Debbie Ingham, Michael Franklin, Jen Gillmor, Abdul, Lucie Brisson, Sheri Cohen and a special appearance by poetess Linda Stitt. 

*Families for Children is a private, non-profit agency operating homes that care for hundreds of destitute children and women in India and Bangladesh.  It was started over 30 year ago by Sandra Simpson, of Montreal, Canada and is run by volunteers so that all funds can go directly to the children!  In February 2012 I will be travelling to India with a group of women to work at one of the homes for disabled children.  Please come out and support this good cause – even donations as little as $20 can make a difference!  Tax receipts will be issued.
